Okanogan County businesses and residents were recently impacted by the 190,000 acre Cold Springs Fire.  Many of our fellow Rotarians and community members have asked how they can support the fire survivors. Here is a list of non-profit agencies that are accepting donations:

  • OOLTRO/Cold Springs Fire Relief – The Okanogan County Long Term Recovery Organization was formed after the 2015 Okanogan Complex Fire and has recently been reorganized to provide immediate relief to the agricultural community impacted by the Cold Springs Fire. The focus is on providing feed and containment fencing for livestock. Donation options:
    • PayPal: online donations can be made through your PayPal account; use the email address: coldspringsfirerelief2020@gmail.com.
    • Monetary Donations can be dropped off at RE/MAX in Omak, 215 N Main St, or checks mailed to Cold Springs Fire Relief, POB 1244, Omak WA 98841.

  • Okanogan County Community Action Council – This Okanogan County organization has been providing support to residents since 1965. They can provide short-term, immediate relief for survivors of all county fires (Palmer Mountain, Cold Springs and Pearl Hill). Relief can include gas cards, vouchers for emergency housing, and Food Pantry support. Check donations can be sent to OCCAC/Fire Relief, 424 2nd Avenue S, Okanogan, WA 98840 or call 422-4041 for more information.
  • Community Foundation of North Central Washington - The Community Foundation of NCW has established an account for Fire Relief donations for the 2020 Okanogan County fires. Donations can be made online at https://cfncw.fcsuite.com/erp/donate -  Select the NCW Fire Relief Fund.
